Men posing as potential tenants rob woman of gold, cash and phone


A 56-year-old woman was robbed at her residence in Parsigutta on Thursday afternoon by two men who entered her home on the pretext of looking for a rental.

The Warasiguda police booked a case.

The woman, identified as Parijatham, was alone at the time of the incident, which occurred around 2 p.m. Police said the men shut the door after entering, threatened her, and took three tolas of gold, ₹6,000 in cash, and a mobile phone.

A case has been registered at the Warasiguda police station, and an investigation is underway. The CCTV footage from nearby locations is being examined to identify the suspects.
