Hyderabad: Sudha Reddy, Director of MEIL and Chairperson of Sudha Reddy Foundation, was bestowed the honour of Global Ambassador for the Miss World Organization at the 72nd Miss World Festival finale. The new appointment represents a new era for the legendary pageant, its first global ambassadorship, and in appreciation of Reddy’s long-standing and abiding commitment to social transformation, humanitarian work, and even development.
In her new position as Global Ambassador for Beauty With A Purpose, the internationally acclaimed charitable program of the Miss World Organization, Reddy will spearhead international outreach programs and assist international initiatives in countries globally. Her work will entail promoting major humanitarian projects and telling uplifting stories from across the globe, utilising her extensive experience and voice to advance the mission of the organisation.
Apart from this recognition of becoming an ambassador, Reddy was also on the list of judges for the Miss World 2025 Grand Finale and applied her experience and world view to assist in determining the titleholder.
In preparation for the peak, Reddy organised the Beauty With A Purpose Gala, where 108 contestants attended her private mansion, Mon Amour Palais. The broadcast of the gala on Times Square, New York, marked a milestone moment in the life of the state of Telangana.
Sudha Reddy, the one who best embodied Indian craftsmanship and heritage by dressing in a custom-made Tarun Tahiliani traditional attire for the evening, stated, “To the Miss World Organization, to Julia Morley, and to everyone joining tonight: Vanakkam. I come to you from Hyderabad, the vibrant hub of Telangana, and I am deeply moved and humbled to be standing before you.”
This acclaim transcends personal merit; it is a confirmation of the boundless potential of compassion, the unwavering force of love, and the power of redemption through selfless giving – ideals that speak so beautifully to the heart of my home state. As the complex designs of a Bidri work, my life has been forged in the spirit of ‘vasudhaiva kutumbakam’ – the world is one family. This timeless wisdom inspires me to stretch out with my hand, my heart, and my resources to meet the needs of others, regardless of borders or background. It is with this sense that I embrace the worthy mission of a Global Ambassador. My pledge is simple: to infuse the spirit of seva into all that I do.
To bring to light the stories of hope, resilience and unwavering humanity that abound in the nooks and crannies of our world. To young people who will inherit this world and to all those working towards a fairer, more compassionate world: never underestimate the power of one single act of kindness. Never doubt the power of love to heal, to unite, and to change. May kindness be your guide, generosity your compass, and love the unstoppable force that propels you. Because in giving, we gain. In loving, we are loved. And in serving others, we find ourselves.
In presenting the title to her, Julia Morley, Chairperson and Founder of the Miss World Organization lauded her firm commitment and contribution to the humanitarian sphere of the world.
