BJP Tamil Nadu president Nainar Nagenthran on Friday said a decision regarding the expansion of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the State would be taken in due course, with one more year remaining for the Assembly election.
Mr. Nagenthran made the remarks when asked whether the BJP was attempting to include more political parties in the NDA, particularly actor-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
When asked about School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi’s comments urging parents to oppose the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) rollback of the ‘no-detention’ policy, he said, “It has become routine for the State government to oppose any initiative taken by the Centre.”
