Train number 22470/22469 — the New Delhi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express — will now permanently run with 16 coaches. The decision comes after a consistent rise in passenger numbers and feedback from travellers looking for better availability and comfort.

Vande Bharat Express Train: Train schedule
The train departs from Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin station at 6:00 AM and reaches Khajuraho by 2:20 PM. On the return leg, it leaves Khajuraho at 2:50 PM and gets back to Delhi at 11:10 PM. It runs daily, making it a convenient option for tourists and regular travellers alike.
Vande Bharat Express Train: Route & fare
On its journey, the train halts at Agra Cantt, Gwalior Junction, Datia, Jhansi Junction, Lalitpur, Tikamgarh, and Chhattarpur before reaching Khajuraho. The route remains the same on the way back. As for the fare, a Chair Car (CC) ticket costs Rs 1,669. With the coach capacity now doubled, passengers can expect better seat availability, especially during peak seasons. This change reflects Indian Railways’ effort to make premium travel more inclusive and efficient — keeping both comfort and convenience on track.
