The Neyyar Dam police arrested one man for allegedly murdering his son on Saturday midnight.
The police identified the accused as Vijayan, 57, of Kunnathumala, near Amboori. He has been accused of stabbing his son Manoj, 29, using a knife.
The incident is suspected to have occurred when the duo engaged in an argument over a property dispute while consuming liquor. Following the incident, the accused alerted forest officials, residing at the official quarters nearby, and confessed his crime. He was later handed over to the police.
