The Indian Armed Forces launched the operation around 1:44 am on the intervening night of May 6 and 7, targeting nine terror infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The move comes as a response to the barbaric Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 25 Indian and one Nepali citizen.

Two international flights en route to Amritsar have been diverted to Delhi. “We regret the inconvenience caused due to this unforeseen disruption,” the airline stated.

Air India Express echoed the alert, citing disruptions on several routes across its network due to the current airspace restrictions. SpiceJet halts flights at multiple northern airports

SpiceJet, too, issued a travel advisory, stating that airports in Dharamshala, Leh, Jammu, Srinagar, and Amritsarare closed until further notice. The airline said departures, arrivals, and connecting flights are likely to be impacted and urged passengers to check flight status before travelling.

IndiGo flags widespread disruptions

IndiGo confirmed that its operations to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Bikaner, Jodhpur, and Gwalior are affected due to the evolving airspace situation.
