‘Operation Sindoor Bharat’s befitting reply’: Amit Shah after India destroys terrorist infra in 9 Pak, PoJK locations

After the Indian Armed Forces destroyed terrorist infrastructure located in nine locations in a cross-border operation called Sindoor, Home Minister Amit Shah said the precision action is India’s befitting reply to those who dare to challenge its borders, military and citizens. He said that efforts should be made to ensure public participation through citizens and non-governmental organisations. His remarks followed a security review meeting in the national capital where the CMs and LGs of the states adjoining Pakistan and Nepal were present, along with senior officials from his ministry.

Here are highlights of what the home minister said:

  • Anti-national propaganda by undesirable elements in social and other media platforms should be strictly monitored
  • Prompt action should be taken in coordination with state governments and central agencies
  • Every possible effort should be made to maintain seamless communication
  • The security of vulnerable points should also be improved
  • Strict vigil should be kept on anti-national propaganda by unwanted elements on social and other media platforms
  • Prompt action should be taken in coordination with state governments and central agencies
  • Coordination between the local administration, army and paramilitary forces should be enhanced further

Without ignoring the Pahalgam terror attack, an appropriate response was given through Operation Sindoor, sending a strong message to the world, he said.

Operation Sindoor is a testament to the Modi government’s zero tolerance policy against terrorism to the entire world, added the Union Minister.

The unity shown by the country at this time has boosted the morale of the countrymen, Shah added.

He also reiterated that after the April 22 terror attack, the Prime Minister had said  that the country would give a befitting reply to the perpetrators and supporters of the terror attack.
