PIB Fact Check Exposes Fake Image: Pakistan Air Force praised as ‘Undisputed King of Skies’ by The Daily Telegraph?

The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) debunked yet another fake image circulating on social media. The viral image on social media shows a fake front page of the UK’s The Daily Telegraph with a headline saying ‘Pakistan Air Force: The undisputed king of the skies’ dated May 10, 2025.

In a post on X, the Fact Check Unit stated that this claim is “FAKE”. The image that is circulating all over social media is AI-generated. The UK-based newspaper, “The Daily Telegraph,” has never carried any such article, said PIB.

Following recent tensions between India and Pakistan, several fake claims and images have been circulating to confuse and outrage people. The PIB has advised people to rely only on official sources for authentic information, cautioning against false claims intended to mislead and cause confusion.

The PIB debunked the fake image circulating, claiming the Pakistan Air Force as the king of the skies. The fake image of The Daily Telegraph talked about how the Pakistan Air Force emerged as the king of the skies in the region, feared, respected, and remarkably efficient. 

The feature further highlighted the global aerial defence capabilities and praised the Pakistan Air Force for their exceptional combat readiness, technological advancement, and unmatched operational efficiency in high-altitude warfare. 

According to PIB Fact Check, this image is fake.

Earlier, the Fact Check Unit had also clarified about more such claims and fake images circulating on social media.

This comes amid India Pakistan tensions after the Pahalgam Terror attack on April 22, 2025. Later, the Indian Army launched precision strikes under Operation Sindoor on May 7.

The attack targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), according to Indian officials.

The strikes were aimed at infrastructure linked to terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. The operation was carried out in response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 innocent civilians.
