PM Modi to inaugurate Rs 13,480 crore projects in Bihar during Madhubani visit today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Madhubani, Bihar, today, marking his first public appearance since the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The visit, scheduled on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day, will witness the Prime Minister unveiling a slew of development projects worth Rs 13,480 crore.

PM Modi is expected to land in Madhubani at 11:20 am, with the official programme beginning shortly thereafter at 11:30 am. The high-profile event comes in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack on Tuesday, which claimed 26 lives and left 17 others injured in a targeted assault by terrorists in Baisaran Valley.

During his Bihar visit, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for key infrastructure initiatives, including gas-based power projects and major railway developments. One of the prominent highlights will be the foundation stone laying for an LPG bottling plant with rail unloading facilities at Hathua in Gopalganj, set to be constructed at a cost of Rs 340 crore.

The Prime Minister will also participate in a significant welfare initiative, where he will distribute keys to permanent homes under a government housing scheme. According to Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, the event will benefit as many as 13.24 lakh poor families across the state.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and several state cabinet ministers will be in attendance during the event.

The political undertone of the visit is being closely watched, especially after the recent terror incident. Questions continue to be raised in public and political discourse regarding the nature and implications of terrorism in the country.

Stay tuned for more updates from Madhubani as PM Modi addresses the gathering and launches development projects aimed at boosting Bihar’s infrastructure and welfare ecosystem.
