The Ernakulam Rural Police seized 30 kg of suspected ganja from three migrant workers, including a woman, on Sunday (April 27), in what has been termed a major drug seizure in recent months in Ernakulam Rural.
The seizure was made during a raid at Muvattupuzha led by the new District Police Chief (Ernakulam Rural) M. Hemalatha. Those arrested are Murshidabad natives Suhail Rana Mandal, Alan Sheikh, and Haseena Khatoon. The gang members attempted to evade capture by landing at Thrissur by train from Odisha and then taking an autorickshaw to Muvattupuzha, said a release.
