Police strengthen security measures at Karimnagar bus station in view of summer vacation rush


Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaush Alam on Monday inaugurated a police outpost at the TGSRTC bus station in Karimnagar in view of the summer-vacation rush of passengers.

The outpost has been set up as part of a slew of measures to strengthen security at the bus station, the police said.

Plans are afoot to install another 15 CCTV cameras at vantage points in addition to the existing 45 cameras on the premises of the bus station that are connected to the police control room for effective CCTV surveillance at the public transportation hub, sources said.

Karimnagar ACP Venkata Swamy, TGSRTC Deputy General Manager (Operations), Karimnagar region, S. Bhupathi Reddy and others accompanied the Police Commissioner during his visit to the bus station.
