SCR to boost security in trains, tracks

South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Arun Kumar Jain has instructed officials to boost security at railway stations and trains with the deployment of security personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Govt. Railway Police (GRP) wherever necessary for the safety of rail passengers.

He also stressed upon the importance of installation of CCTVs in all vulnerable locations, during a video conference with his divisional managers about safety from the Rail Nilayam on Monday. Mr. Jain reviewed the progress of various safety drives being carried out on pertaining to safety of tracks and signalling systems. He also examined the safety action plans of mechanical, engineering and signal & telecommunications departments and reviewed the availability of safety items such as smoke detectors, fire extinguishers etc. He also discussed precautions to be followed at all the crossings and points on tracks over the zone.

Wheel chairs donated

Rotary Club of Jubilee Hills has donated 50 wheelchairs to the Central Hospital, Lallaguda, as part of its CSR initiative of ‘Shar projects’. GM Arun Kumar Jain, principal chief medical director Dr. Nirmala Rajaram, district governor Sharath Choudary, district governor-elect Balakoti Reddy and others were present, said a press release.
