Amid the heightened tension at the borders following the Pahalgam terror attack, the Kurnool and Nandyal police have intensified checks at vulnerable and sensitive places and places where people gather in large numbers.
In Kurnool, surprise checks were conducted at railway stations, bus stands and malls by the police. Bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs conducted the checks. Similarly, checks were conducted at all prominent places of worship in the district.
In Nandyal district, on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Adhiraj Singh Rana, the police took up thorough checks at several places across the district. Checking was conducted at all the railway stations, bus stands, important junctions, national highways, border checkposts, lodges and other places by the police along with bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs.
