A four-year-old child was mauled to death by stray dogs at Bethamcharla town in the district on Friday (May 2). He was the son of Syed Basha and Asha of Hanuman Nagar railway bridge. The boy, Syed Modhin, was playing with other children on the street when four dogs attacked him, biting him multiple times. Though he was rescued and taken to the area hospital, he was declared dead on arrival. Following the incident, residents staged a protest, demanding justice for the family. The district administration has ordered an inquiry.
