More than 3,000 students and staff of Marudhar Kesari Jain College for Women in Vaniyambadi town in Tirupattur on Wednesday, gathered for a candlelight vigil to mourn the loss of innocent lives in the terror attack on the tourists in Pahalgam in Kashmir.
According to a press release, the horrific incident, which claimed the lives of innocent tourists and left several injured, has left the students shocked and deeply saddened. The thoughts and prayers of the participants in the vigil in the college are with the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones in the tragedy, the release said.
The college students expressed outrage against the attack by holding placards with slogans against such acts, the release noted.
