Sundaram Finance Holdings Ltd (SF Holdings) posted a consolidated net profit of ₹412.09 crore for FY25, compared to ₹533.14 crore in FY24. However, excluding a one-time receipt of ₹175.67 crore from the redemption of preference shares in TVS Holdings Ltd in the previous year, the net profit recorded a 15.28 per cent year-on-year growth.
For the quarter ended March 31, 2025, the company posted a consolidated net profit of ₹107.12 crore as compared to ₹533.14 crore 269.32 crore. Adjusted for the same one-time income in Q4 FY25, the quarterly profit reflects a 14.38 per cent increase over the previous year.
Dividend income, a key component of the company’s revenue due to its holding structure, rose 30.6 per cent to ₹209.52 crore in FY25, up from ₹160.40 crore in FY24, according to a statement.
During FY25, SF Holdings exited four non-core investments — Delphi TVS Technologies Ltd, D2C Consulting Services Pvt Ltd, Vishnu Forge Industries Ltd, and a partial exit from Fettle Tone — as part of its plan to focus on core group investments. These disinvestments yielded a post-tax gain of ₹53.99 crore, recognised under Other Comprehensive Income (OCI).
The company also expanded its manufacturing footprint by acquiring a 100 per cent stake in Forge 2000 Private Limited for ₹16 crore. Forge 2000 specialises in forging, pressing, stamping, and metal powder metallurgy job work.
In a major post-year-end development, SF Holdings — along with Forge 2000 — acquired a 48.33 per cent stake in Axles India Ltd from joint venture partner Dana Global Products Plc. SF Holdings now directly holds 24.16 per cent, and Forge 2000 holds the remaining 24.17 per cent, making Axles India a subsidiary of SF Holdings as of April 25, 2025.
SF Holdings declared a second interim dividend of ₹0.60 per share (12 per cent) for FY25, in addition to an earlier interim dividend of ₹3.70 per share (74 per cent) paid in February 2025. A final dividend of ₹1.55 per share (31 per cent) has also been recommended, bringing the total dividend for FY25 to ₹5.85 per share (117 per cent).
