Telangana ACB registered 21 cases in April; 20 public servants remanded to judicial custody

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered 21 cases during April 2025, including 13 trap cases, two disproportionate assets cases, two criminal misconduct cases, two regular enquiries, and two surprise checks, according to a statement issued by the bureau on Thursday (May 1, 2025).

A total of 20 public servants were arrested and remanded to judicial custody over the course of the month. In trap cases alone, cash totalling ₹5.02 lakh was seized from government officials caught red-handed accepting bribes.

In one disproportionate assets case, undeclared wealth amounting to ₹3.51 crore was discovered. Another case involving assets worth ₹13.5 crore is currently under investigation, the bureau revealed.
