Major Crashes:

August 7, 2020: Air India Express Flight 1344. Skidded off the runway at Kozhikode International Airport, killing 21 people.

May 22, 2010: Air India Express Flight 812. Overshot the runway at Mangalore International Airport, killing 158 people.

July 17, 2000: Alliance Air Flight 7412. Crashed in a residential estate of Patna, killing 55 people on board and 5 on the ground.

November 12, 1996: Charkhi Dadri Mid-Air Collision. Saudi Arabian Airlines and Kazakhstan Airlines flights collided mid-air, killing 349 people.

April 26, 1993: Indian Airlines Flight 491. Struck a truck and power lines after takeoff from Aurangabad, killing 55 passengers.

August 16, 1991: Indian Airlines Flight 257. Crashed on descent into Imphal, killing all 69 occupants due to pilot error.

February 14, 1990: Indian Airlines Flight 605. Crashed while landing at HAL Airport in Bengaluru, killing 92 out of 146 people on board.
