TVS launches Jupiter 125 DT SXC variant in India; priced at Rs 88,942, offers new features and dual-tone colours

TVS Motor Company has officially launched a new variant of its popular scooter, the Jupiter 125, in the Indian market. Named the Jupiter 125 DT SXC, the variant had been teased over the past few days on social media, generating significant buzz. Priced at Rs 88,942 (ex-showroom), the new variant brings cosmetic enhancements and added features, while the base model continues to retail at Rs 80,740 (ex-showroom).

What’s New in the DT SXC Variant?

The Jupiter 125 DT SXC sports several aesthetic upgrades aimed at boosting its premium appeal. Notably, it gets two new dual-tone colour options—Ivory Brown and Ivory Grey—paired with matching dual-tone inner panels and a flat single-piece seat. A 3D emblem and body-coloured grab rail further elevate its visual charm.

Feature-Rich Offering

The standout addition to the DT SXC variant is the inclusion of TVS SmartXonnect technology. This allows riders to access a digital instrument cluster loaded with features like:

  • Turn-by-turn navigation
  • Voice assist
  • Vehicle tracking
  • SMS and call alerts

These features make the scooter more tech-forward and appealing to urban riders seeking connectivity on the go.

No Mechanical Changes

Despite the visual and tech upgrades, the scooter retains its 124.8 cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 8 hp and 11 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a CVT gearbox, ensuring smooth and efficient city rides.

The suspension setup includes a telescopic hydraulic front fork and a 3-step adjustable twin-tube shock absorber at the rear. Braking is handled by a 220 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum brake, and the scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels.

Rivals and Segment Positioning

With these updates, the Jupiter 125 DT SXC strengthens TVS’s position in the 125cc scooter segment, going up against popular rivals like the Honda Activa 125 and the Suzuki Access 125.

The new variant blends style, connectivity, and practicality, making it a compelling option for buyers looking for a feature-loaded urban scooter.
