A video clip showing the security personnel waving the National Flag along the Karregutta hill ranges, hitherto considered a safe haven for Maoists, on the Chhattisgarh side of the inter-State border with Telangana has gone viral on social media on Wednesday (April 30, 2025).
The video doing the rounds on the social media also showed a chopper landing along the Karregutta hill ranges even as the massive anti-Maoist operation launched by the joint teams of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Chhattisgarh’s police on the hill ranges entered the ninth day on Wednesday (April 30, 2025).

The video caught the attention of netizens, who shared it on several WhatsApp groups in Telangana’s Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts, bordering the strife-ridden south Bastar region of Chhattisgarh.
An uneasy calm continues to pervade the interior villages in Mulugu district adjoining Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district as the security forces intensified Operation Kagar on Karregutta hills straddling the inter-State border.
Sources added that the operation has reached a crucial stage as the security forces are reportedly gearing up to set up a forward operating base (FOB) at a strategic location along the Karregutta hill range.
