Vijay appeals to fans, cadre not to drive two-wheelers recklessly

Actor-politician and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam president Vijay on Thursday appealed to his fans and party cadre not to follow his vehicle or drive two-wheelers in a reckless manner, especially without wearing helmets.

Speaking briefly to the media at Chennai Airport before departing for Madurai, Mr. Vijay said, “I am heading to Kodaikanal for the shoot of the movie Jananayagan. I will be visiting Madurai soon as part of the party’s upcoming events. Please don’t drive rashly or without a helmet — it’s deeply distressing to see.”

His appeal comes days after some of his fans climbed onto the van in which Mr. Vijay held a road show in Coimbatore when he was in the city for the party’s booth-level agents zonal conference.
