Asia Index, the benchmarks and market intelligence arm of BSE, on Thursday said that Trent and Bharat Electronics will replace Nestle India and IndusInd Bank in the 30-share Sensex. The changes will come into effect from the beginning of trading on June 23, BSE said in a statement. In the BSE 100 index, Dixon Technologies (India), Coforge, and Indus Towers will be added, while Bharat Forge, Dabur India, and Siemens Ltd will be dropped, the exchange said. In the BSE Sensex 50 index, InterGlobe Aviation and Shriram Finance will be included in place of Britannia Industries and Hero MotoCorp. In addition, Britannia Industries, Dixon Technologies (India), Coforge, Hero Motocorp and Indus Towers will be added to the BSE Sensex Next 50 index. Interglobe Aviation, Shriram Finance, Bharat Forge, Dabur India and Siemens will be dropped from the BSE Sensex Next 50. Also, IDFC First Bank is set to join the BSE Bankex benchmark, by replacing Canara Bank, it added.
In a major strategic move, Himadri Speciality Chemical, India’s largest speciality carbon black maker, on Thursday said its board has approved acquisition of 16.24 per cent stake in US-based lithium-ion cells maker International Battery Company (IBC) for a cash consideration of around ₹37.47 crore. In a stock exchange filing, Kolkata-based Himadri Speciality Chemical said this investment in IBC is “a significant milestone” for it, marking the start of the commercial deployment of its LFP Cathode active and anode materials..
Tata Steel has announced the completion of the phase-II expansion project at Kalinganagar in Odisha, taking its overall capacity to 26.1 million tonnes (MT). With the completion of the 5 million tonne expansion project undertaken at an investment of ₹27,000 crore, the capacity of the Kalinganagar plant stands at 8 MT from 3 MT earlier, the steelmaker said in a statement.
Three promoter entities and a public shareholder of TD Power Systems on Thursday sold a total of 1.15 crore shares or 7.4 per cent stake in the company for ₹530 crore through open market transactions. According to the BSE bulk deal data, Nikhil Kumar offloaded 45 lakh shares of TD Power Systems, Saphire Finman Services LLP sold 33 lakh shares and Hitoshi Matsuo disposed of 21 lakh shares, cumulatively a 6.33 per cent holding in the company. Apart from these three promoters, a public shareholder – Lavanya Sankaran – offloaded 16 lakh shares, amounting to a 1.02 per cent holding in TD Power Systems. The shares were disposed of in the price range of ₹460.09-463.28. After the latest transaction, the combined promoters and promoter group entities’ holding in TD Power Systems declined to 26.89 per cent from 33.22 per cent. Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs Funds – Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio picked up additional 10.93 lakh shares of TD Power Systems and Blend Fund 2 acquired 13.04 lakh scrips, collectively 1.53 per cent stake in the company, as per the data on the exchange. Details of the other buyers of TD Power Systems shares could not be ascertained on the exchange.
The offer for sale by Andrew Yule & Co Ltd to offload up to 2 per cent of its equity stake in Veedol Corporation, amounting to 3.48 lakh equity shares, opens today for non-retail investors and on May 26 for retail investors. The floor price for the OFS has been fixed at ₹1,566 per share.

State-owned NTPC Green Energy on Thursday said it has bagged a battery energy storage project in Kerala in an auction conducted by NHPC. The 80MW/320MWh battery energy storage project will provide power back-up or supply of 80MW for four hours. NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) emerged as the winning bidder in the e-reverse auction conducted by NHPC on May 21, 2025, a regulatory filing said.

KNR Constructions Ltd was the concessionaire of the project.
