The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Delhi today, May 30. The weather department has warned of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds reaching speeds of 50-60 km/h.
Rain in parts of Guwahati
Rain lashes several parts of the city, causing disruptions and raising concerns about waterlogging.
The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has warned that continued downpours in Guwahati city could lead to waterlogging, slow traffic movement, and increased risk of tree falls and localised landslides.
Kerala
A red and orange alert have been issued in parts of Kerala by weather department. Some of these districts include Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha and Thrissur.
Meanwhile, district administrations announced holiday for all educational institutions on May 30.
Andhra Pradesh
IMD has predicted thunderstorms for three days in Andhra Pradhesh from May 29-31.
Rain in parts of Rajasthan
Rajasthan may also receive light to moderate rain in some parts of the state. Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer and Jaipur divisions may receive rain with thunderstorms over the next two days.

Due to early arrival of monsoon in Mumbai, there is a sharp rise in respiratory illness due to high humidity and temperature change.
