Zee Business Impact: Following the India-Pakistan conflict, the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has issued notices to major e-commerce platforms, including Amazon India and Flipkart, regarding the sale of flags and merchandise featuring Pakistani symbols. Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Pralhad Joshi, on Wednesday, shared this via a post on X, formerly Twitter.

“The CCPA has issued notices to @amazonIN, @Flipkart, @UbuyIndia, @Etsy, The Flag Company, and The Flag Corporation over the sale of Pakistani flags and related merchandise,” Joshi wrote in the post.

Minister also stated that the platforms were directed to immediately take down such listings, and called “insensitivity” will not be “tolerated”.

The minister also warned all online retailers to strictly comply with Indian laws while conducting business in the country.

“E-commerce platforms are hereby directed to immediately remove all such content and adhere to National laws,” he added in the tweet.

Zee Business had called for a complete boycott of Pakistan related products on online stores and e-commerce platforms.
