Condemning the terror attack in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir and seeking strict action against terror perpetrators, various organisations staged demonstrations in the districts of Kittur Karnataka on Wednesday.
Scores of students led by office-bearers of Akhil Bharatiya Vidharthi Parishat (ABVP) staged a demonstration in front of the entrance of KLE Technological University (KLETU) in Hubballi, while students led by office-bearers of Students Federation of India (SFI) and Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) staged protests in front of the GH College in Haveri on Wednesday.

Holding placards condemning the terror attack in which scores of civilians were killed, the students blocked the road in front of KLETU for some time to register their protest.
They also burnt old tyres as a mark of protest and demanded effective measures to curb the menace of terrorism.
Leading the protest in front of GH College in Haveri, DYFI State secretary urged the Union government to curb terrorism by launching a massive operation.

He said that all countrymen should strongly condemn the act of terrorism and should stand united to fight the menace of terrorism.
Although the Union government has been claiming that normality has returned to Jammu and Kashmir, but attacks on civilians and the army in the region have continued. At least now, the government should take effective steps to restore normality in the valley, he demanded.
SFI district president Durugappa Yammi said that in this time of crisis, people of the country should stand united in the fight against terrorism. Any attempt by communal forces to misutilise the terror attack should also be condemned, he said.
Earlier, staging the protest, the students paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the attack by observing silence.
Similar protests were held in other districts and statements condemning the incident were issued by office-bearers of various organisations.
