K. Ilambrithi

An IAS officer of 2005 batch, K. Ilambarithi, took charge as secretary of Metropolitan Area & Urban Development (HMDA limits) on Wednesday (April 30, 2025). He was one among the several IAS officers who were transferred and given new postings by the State government on Sunday (April 27, 2025). Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is the Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development too.
Mr. Ilambarithi served as commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) prior to the transfer. He has also served as zonal commissioner of GHMC and commissioner of Transport department.
His first assignment was as the sub-collector of Asifabad. After State bifurcation, he was posted as the district collector of Khammam, and later of Nirmal. In 2019, he was posted for central service, as director, Census Operations.
